A Thirty-seven year-old woman passed away from swine influenza in Pune on Thursday, bringing the fatality in the gravely hit pune to thirteen and nationwide toll attributable the infection to twenty-one.

Rupert Grint of harry porter fame is the latest victim for swine flu.

Grint, who plays Harry's pal Ron Weasley, was forced to take a break from filming the latest instalment about the young wizard when he was hit by the bug.

His publicist said today: "It has just been confirmed that Rupert Grint has taken a few days out of filming due to a mild bout of swine flu."

"He has now recovered and is looking forward to joining his fellow cast members at the junket and premieres this week and will then return to filming directly afterwards."

She said Grint's doctor had confirmed that Rupert had recovered and was no longer contagious or at risk of infecting others.

"Other scenes were shot in his absence which did not require his involvement and thus filming was not disrupted," she added.

Swine influenza 'not stoppable,' World Health Organization says

World Health Organization increased the swine flu alert on Thursday to its highest level, stating the H1N1 virus has spread to enough countries to be conceived as a global pandemic.


Increasing the alert to Phase 6 does not mean that the disease is more lethal or more serious than before, just that it has spread to more countries, the WHO said.

"This is an important and challenging day for all of us," WHO Director General Margaret Chan said in a briefing with reporters. "We are moving into the early days of the first flu pandemic of the twenty frist century."

Last pandemic occurred in 1968.

As of 11th of june 2009, the virus had spread to 74 countries, the health agency said. There were 28,774 confirmed cases and 144 deaths.

The United States had 13,217 cases and 27 deaths, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said June 5 in its weekly update. Cases have been reported in all 50 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico. See where H1N1 flu cases are in the U.S.

According to China Central Television reported that China has successfully produced the first batch of
